[Working] Increase Internal Memory of Micromax A44 to 1GB or 2GB..

Here is how you can increase the internal storage of your Micromax A44.

The specification of Micromax A44 Says that only 170MB of storage available for use. but that's not true. we can increase the size of the internal storage to 1GB or 2GB. 

You cant believe then check this out. See image below.

This is my old Storage only 46 MB available :'(

Check the new storage with 838MB Free :)

Its awesome na.. now lets do it.... follow the steps carefully.....

Note: Please Remove Link 2SD do not install it.

Step 1: Partitioning:

First of all you need to partition the Memory Card. You can Use any of the following two methods:

1. Minitool Partition (Not Recommended)

2. Use CWM recovery to partition your Sd card. (Recommended)

You have to make two partitions, 1st Partition will be Your FAT32 and 2nd will be your EXT2 partition.

For Example If you are having a 8GB memory card then you can do like this: 

7gb or 6gb for you Fat32 and rest 1 GB (1024Mb) or 2gb (2048MB) will be your EXT2 partition...

In my case i used mini tool partition to partition my 8 GB sd card.

I recommend you to partition your Sd card using CWM and select 1024MB and select the swap size as 256MB, If you do not make swap then your device will work slow.

Steps to do it in CWM:

Please Wipe Data first .. else you may get some force close error.

1. Reboot to recovery
2. Go to advanced
3. Click on partition SD card

4. Select 1024MB or 2048MB 

5. now select swap size to 256MB

and it will partition. it will depend on the type of card. I saw that HC card are faster than normal cards.

Step 2: Script Installing for Init.d Support

Download This >>  Aroma_kernal.zip

Put this Into your Memory card and Flash it using CWM recovery.

and reboot

Now download this >> 01.zip

extract it on you pc you will get a folder named "01"

Copy this folder to your sd card and then from sd card copy it to

System>etc>init.d

Change the permission of the 01 and init.d (check all in permission)
use root explorer for copying and changing permission. 

and reboot

now Download This >> Cron_fix.zip

Put this file inside you SD card and Reboot to CWM recovery and Flash it.

Now Reboot Your Device.

And check your internal Storage.

Important Note: If you have Link2SD please uninstall it and Wipe/Data using CWM before proceeding to step 2.

Again If anything Happens to your phone im not responsible. Please do a backup of your SD card as it will wipe all your data. Make a Contact Backup.
It will only Soft brick if not done properly which can be fixed.
